"Charismatic
singer Johnny had Paul Weller's vocal nuances down to a tee, especially
when ripping through a pre-interval set of Jam classics before moving
on to his Style Council and solo material." Harlow Star 2009
John's
vocals have received high praise indeed, in the words of Bad Manners'
Buster Bloodvessel: "blimey, shut your eyes and you'd think
you were hearing Paul Weller himself sing." Peterborough Telegraph 2008
"Awesome.
I closed my eyes and I was back there in 1979 at a sweaty Jam gig" Maidenhead Advertiser 2006
Wellalive
have spent 5 years making sure that
all of their concerts are played with
"Fire and Skill".
Wellalive perform
songs from The Jam, TSC, and PW Solo to the standard that Paul Weller
would expect. This is why we have been booked to play all across
the UK.
The
'March of
the Mods' Tour is all about celebrating the original 60's Mods
and subsequent Revivals. Much of the culture of those original and
revivalist Mods was based around bands such as The Small Faces,
The Who, The Kinks, The Jam, The Merton Parkers, Squire, Purple
Hearts and many others. Please join us with some of the UK's best
Mod Bands to relive these great times along with the best that Mod
Music has to offer.
The tour
is going strong into 2010. This popular show is gaining momentum
and 2010 is shaping up to be the year of the Mods.
A new
band has joined the march. This band is fronted by Enzo Esposito,
founder of the Revival Mod Band - Squire. Enzo will be bringing
his *NEW* band The 5:16's
(The Five Sixteens) along on the MoTM Tour so be sure
to check out a show near you
Paul
Weller is easily one of the countries greatest Singer - Songwriters
alongside legends such as Paul McCartney or John Lennon. Ever
since Paul Weller burst onto the music scene in the late 1970's
with his band The Jam, he has been at the forefront of British music.
